It has been really interesting at our house since the 19th. We were without power for 4 days...including no water (showers, flushing toilets, etc!!). We have learned to appreciate the small things!! Now we have power but our yard has been turned into an ice skating rink!!

Congrats on getting your power back. It truly does make one appreciate the small things in life. Back in the days when Snowbound was written (late 1800's) a storm like this would have hardly affected a farm family at all. It's hard to imagine.
